Thursday 16th June 2011 gates open at 11am and the day finishes late afternoon early evening. This is horse racing as it happens at Ascot with our licenced bookmaker offering course odds. The cost is £49.00 per person and for that you start your day at 11am with a glass of sparkling wine, at 12noon you sit down to a three course luncheon followed by cheese, biscuits, and coffee. The Queen arrives at 2pm and racing starts at 2.25pm. Around 5pm a cream tea is served. This all takes place in the wonderful Vista function suite at Highbullen so if it rains or if the sun bears down you will be nice and comfortable as well as protected be it hot or wet.
This event is organised annually by the Rotary Club of South Molton in Association with Highbullen. Just come along and enjoy a day at the races in beautiful surroundings and good company. Bring a party of friends and neighbours, or even relations. The dress code is exactly as if you are in the paddock enclosure at Ascot, the ladies in their most exquisite attire and the gentlemen, if not in tails with top hat, a suit and tie - may be a buttonhole.
There are a few places still available, please contact reception on 01769 540 561 to book your tickets now.
